Briefly about Torres Vedras

Torres Vedras is a city and a municipality in the district of Lisbon, about 50 km from Lisbon. Torres Vedras wine region is centered around the town. In 1809 the lines of Torres Vedras were built on the orders of the Duke of Wellington. They got their name after the town of Torres Vedras.
