Briefly about Roros Airport

Røros Airport is a regional airport located 2 kilometers from the city centre of Røros in Norway. The airport was opened in 1957 and various airlines served it throughout the years.

Coast Air provided the only scheduled passenger route between Røros and Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, six times a week. But it suffered from poor passenger numbers and finally filed for bankruptcy and the route was canceled in 2008. Widerøe got a temporary contract and reopened the route again just a couple of days later.

The airport is the main base for the general aviation and flight training company Rørosfly.
