Briefly about Egersund
Egersund is a coastal town in the municipality of Eigersund in the county of Rogaland. It boasts one of the best natural harbours in Norway.
The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age and there are several ruins of settlements from the 400 to 600 BC. A first medieval settlement with a church was mentioned in the 13th century.
